Traditional Painting: Owl Wips

This is my first real crack at traditional painting with acrylics. I took photos every now and again when I felt there was a change in the painting, just so I could see my process.

So...using paints is tricky! You definitely need to plan your process prior to painting and in what order to paint to paint parts of the piece. I learned a few things along the way, such as that acrylics dry really fast, like, reeeeeallly fast. The paints change colour slightly when dry, light colours dry darker and dark colours dry lighter it seems. Glazes are awesome and don't paint in bad light.
